SAN MARTIN, Calif. — Sweden’s Jonas Blixt won the Frys.com Open on Sunday for his first PGA Tour title, holing a 4-foot par putt on the final hole for a one-stroke victory at CordeValle.
Blixt became third PGA Tour rookie to win this season, closing with a 3-under 68 for a 16-under 268 total. He earned $900,000 in the Fall Series event.
Tim Petrovic and Jason Kokrak tied for second. Petrovic had a 64, and Kokrak shot a 68.
Third-round leader John Mallinger had a 72 to tie for fourth at 14 under with Jimmy Walker, Vijay Singh and Alexandre Rocha. Walker closed with a 62, and Singh and Rocha shot 68.
Blixt birdied the par-5 15th and par-4 17th to pull ahead.
Two strokes behind Mallinger entering the round, Blixt birdied the first holes, but gave the strokes back with bogeys on the next two. The 28-year-old former Florida State player made a birdie on the par-4 sixth, then had eight straight pars before the birdie on 15.
Blixt was making his 19th PGA Tour start. He finished third last week in Las Vegas.
LPGA MALAYSIA
KUALA LUMPUR, Malaysia — Inbee Park rallied to win the LPGA Malaysia for her second victory of the year, closing with a 4-under 67 to beat fellow South Korean player Na Yeon Choi by two strokes.
Park took the lead with a tap-in birdie on the par-4 13th and moved two shots ahead with another short birdie putt on the par-4 14th. She got away with bogeys on the final two holes when Choi made a double bogey on the par-3 17th in her closing 71.
Park won the Evian Masters in July in France and has six straight top-three finishes and 10 top-10s in a row. In her previous three events, she tied for second in the Safeway Classic and finished second in the Canadian Women’s Open and Women’s British Open.
Park finished at 15-under 269 at Kuala Lumpur Golf and Country Club to match the tournament record in the event that started in 2010. She earned $285,000 to push her tour-leading total to $1,954,608.
Australia’s Karrie Webb shot a 68 to finish third at 12 under.
GREATER HICKORY CLASSIC
CONOVER, N.C. (AP) — Fred Funk won the Greater Hickory Classic for his second Champions Tour title of the year and eighth overall, holing a 2-foot birdie putt on the final hole to beat Duffy Waldorf by a stroke.
The 56-year-old Funk closed with a 3-under 69 on Rock Barn’s Jones Course to finish at 15-under 201. He also won eight times on the PGA Tour.
Funk had a bogey-free tournament and has gone 60 holes without a bogey since the 13th hole last week in the final round of the SAS Championship. He also extended his run of bogey-free holes at Rock Barn to 84, beginning with the seventh hole in the second round last year.
Also the winner at The Woodlands in Texas in May, Funk opened with consecutive 66s to take a one-stroke lead into the final round.
Waldorf finished with a 66.
PORTUGAL MASTERS
VILAMOURA, Portugal — Ireland’s Shane Lowry won the Portugal Masters for his second European Tour victory, finishing with a 5-under 66 to beat England’s Ross Fisher by a stroke.
Fisher had one last chance after Lowry bogeyed the 18th, but the Englishman also had a bogey.
Lowry finished at 14-under 270 at Oceanico Victoria.
Fisher shot a 70.
MICCOSUKEE
CHAMPIONSHIP
MIAMI — Shawn Stefani won the Miccosukee Championship for his second Web.com Tour victory of the year, closing with a 3-under 68 for a five-stroke victory over Australia’s Alistair Presnell.
Stefani finished at 15-under 269 at Miccosukee Golf and Country Club, and earned $108,000 to jump from 16th to fourth on the money list with $303,311. The top 25 after the final two events will earn 2013 PGA Tour cards.
The 30-year-old former Lamar player also won the Midwest Classic in August in Overland Park, Kan.
Presnell finished with a 67. He earned $64,800 to go from 39th to 19th on the money list with $187,342.
Stefani opened with round of 68, 71 and 62 to take a six-stroke lead into the final day.

CHAMPIONSHIP
ALDIE, Va. — Jim Woodward eagled the final hole to win the Senior PGA Professional National Championship, hitting a 4-hybrid to a foot from 245 yards to set up the winning putt.
The 55-year-old Woodward, the PGA teaching professional at Oak Tree National Golf Club in Edmond, Okla., finished with a 1-over 73 at Creighton Farm for a 1-under 287 total.
Mike Miles, a PGA assistant professional at Virginia Country Club in Long Beach, Calif., finished second. He birdied four of the final six holes for a 69.
The top 35 earned spots in the Senior PGA Championship in May at Bellerive in St. Louis. The top five received exemptions into the final stage of the Champions Tour qualifying tournament.
